If Wil­mers­dorf con­ju­res up images of the cult film "Line 1", the upper midd­le clas­ses at the turn of the cen­tu­ry and Catho­lic girls' schools - you'd be right!
The Ber­lin dis­trict is loca­ted in the for­mer wes­tern part and was mer­ged with Char­lot­ten­burg in the cour­se of the dis­trict reform. Some of the city's most magni­fi­cent streets can be found here, as well as working-class neigh­bour­hoods from the 1930s and func­tion­al rebuilds.
Various under­ground lines such as the U7, U1 and U9 as well as the Ring­bahn in the nor­t­hern area with the Bun­des­platz and Hohen­zol­lern­damm sta­ti­ons pro­vi­de excel­lent public trans­port connections.
And if you want to pack your swim­ming trunks and head to the Wann­see in sum­mer, you'll be deligh­ted to be in the neigh­bour­hood of the Gru­ne­wald forest!
