Müns­ter­land­platz is the cent­re of the neigh­bour­hood and is home to mar­kets, street fes­ti­vals and con­certs. The­re are foot­paths and parks along the Spree and Lake Rum­mels­burg, and many peo­p­le sit along the banks in the evenings and at weekends to enjoy an after-work beer. To the east of the city cent­re, Lich­ten­berg is easi­ly acces­si­ble by public trans­port. The U5 under­ground line runs via Alex­an­der­platz, the cent­re of Ber­lin, whe­re you can reach a num­ber of other major under­ground lines. From Lich­ten­berg sta­ti­on, the­re are a num­ber of regio­nal rail­way lines that cross Ber­lin and are also con­nec­ted to the Ring-Bahn, with good con­nec­tions to both Ber­lin airports.
